Humidity & Air Quality

• Avoid High Humidity: Bathrooms, steamy kitchens, and damp basements are not ideal (paper and pastel don’t love moisture).
• Avoid Smoke / Grease / Aerosols: Oil pastel can attract airborne grime over time; keep away from smoke, cooking grease, and spray cleaners.

Handling

• Handle By The Frame: Avoid touching the paper/art surface. Oil pastel remains slightly “alive” and can smudge if disturbed.
• Clean Hands Or Gloves: If you need to move it, use clean hands and grip the aluminum frame edges.
• Let It Settle: After moving/hanging, give it a moment to acclimate before turning on the backlight.

Cleaning

Acrylic Glass/PMMA (Front Panel):

• Use a soft microfiber cloth.
  If needed, lightly dampen with water or a plastic-safe cleaner.
• Do Not Use: Ammonia-based glass cleaners, alcohol-heavy sprays, abrasives, or paper towels (they can haze/scratch Acrylic/PMMA).

Aluminum Frame:

• Dust with a dry microfiber cloth.
  For marks, use a barely damp cloth, then dry immediately.

Lighting

Backlight Use:

• It’s fine to enjoy it illuminated regularly, but like any lit object, moderation is kind—especially if it’s in a sunlit room.
• Turn off when not in use if you want to maximize long-term stability and minimize heat exposure.

Long-Term Best Practices

• Dust Regularly: Light dusting keeps airborne grime from building up.
• Avoid Frequent Repositioning: Less handling = less risk.
• If You Must Store It: Store upright, in a dry interior space, away from pressure on the face panel.

This piece includes intentional variations and process marks—visible texture, layering, blending, scratching, subtle irregularities, and other evidence of the hand. These are part of the work’s character and are not considered defects.
